The March NWDUG meetup will take place on 9th March at MadLab on Edge Street from 7PM until 9PM. This month we have Claire Gowler, who will be talking about mental health at work. "Awareness of mental health issues in the industry and general public is growing slowly, however this is only the first step on the journey. What we need to do now is define processes and practices so that both employees and businesses can help sufferers in their working lives. This talk will give practical advice on how to talk to your employer about mental illness, and some tips about what help your employer can provide. This will cover things such as how to be agile with mental illness, initiatives such as Mindful Employer and mental health first aid and how to be comfortable within yourself at work." If you have a lightning talk you want to give, or just something cool that you've done, then feel free to come along and share it with the group.
